About TMF National Uganda

TMF National Uganda is an indigenous Community-Based Organisation established in May 2016 in Wakiso District, Uganda. The organisation derives its name and inspiration from the former Matovu Foundation, carrying forward its founding spirit of community service, compassion and commitment to improving lives.

Initiated by Matovu Joseph Ssalongo, TMF National Uganda was founded on the belief that meaningful community transformation begins with giving back, addressing the needs of vulnerable populations and creating opportunities for individuals and families to improve their quality of life.

We work with women, young people and vulnerable families through community-centred programmes designed to address immediate needs while creating sustainable pathways towards social and economic development.

Our work is guided by three interconnected strategic pillars: Health, Education and Economic Empowerment. Through these pillars, we strive to improve access to essential healthcare, expand educational opportunities and strengthen the capacity of individuals and households to build sustainable livelihoods.

At TMF National Uganda, we believe that lasting development goes beyond providing temporary assistance. It involves equipping people with the knowledge, skills, resources and opportunities they need to become self-reliant and active contributors to the development of their communities.

We are committed to fostering healthier, better educated and economically empowered communities where everyone has the opportunity to live a dignified and productive life.

Our Approach

We pursue our mission through community engagement, practical interventions, strategic partnerships and inclusive development initiatives. By working alongside communities and collaborating with relevant institutions and development partners, we seek to deliver meaningful support and create lasting positive change.

Our Commitment

We remain committed to serving communities with compassion, integrity, accountability and a focus on sustainable impact—ensuring that our programmes respond to people's needs while creating opportunities for a better future.
